so there you go basically in the movie it shows that it clinks on to peter parker which turns him in to the black suit spider man.Enhansing his powers but at the same time changest his character as well become over confident.but you mustn't mistaken as it will not change any person in to black suit spiderman instead it will change someone in to venom so why?well we must understand how peter became spiderman first part of his dna breaks off and a spider dna attach in to it.but again it doesn't make sense dna are consist two polynucleotide chain coil around each other held by complimentary bases call base pair which is adenine with thymine and cytocine with guanine you mean to say that the base in spider dna can form base pairing with the human dna ! it doesn't make sense!any way just take it as if it make sense ok! so since he has a gene of a spider when the alien goo bind to him it did not take over him completely instead it is just half half.but unlike if it binds to a normal human the actual appearance of the alien goo is revile thus having a totally different look which is call venom!so understand now,hope this piece of information are helpful.
